Treasure for the biggens

So as i climbed down the mountain i ran in to this guy named Sam. I had passed him on the way up to the top and i was going by him when he was about to summit the mountain and he said "You sure ate that up quick."  I smiled and we just started talking.

We were sitting down on some rocks which overlooked the entire city of Anchorage and we just shot the breeze.  I found out that he was a camp director in Northwest Arkansas and just visiting a pastor friend up here for the week.  I told him about Global Partnership Ministries and Alaska Mission Outfitters and just a little about myself.

During our little conversation he mentioned that he did some geocaching which is basically a world wide big kids treasure hunt.  People hide things all over the world and you can use a little hand held GPS to find these treasures.  An ongoing treasure hunt, because as you find whatever it is that is hidden in a box or small Altoids can, you take that item and put something else in its place.  So as i was about to go down and meet up with Lily who read a book while i climbed, he asked me if i wanted to help him search for this next treasure.  We looked for about ten to fifteen minutes but i had to go because i had to make dinner plans with the "family" (which i was thirty minutes late for anyway) But as i went down he kept on looking.  Plus he said he had found a small green box buried under some little boulders, and i think it was at the point right before you get to the top of the stairs from H-E double hockey sticks.  (sorry for being so descriptive) :)  Any who we parted ways and he said he would pray for us and he said he would give his pastor friend the information on our organization.

I am just so excited for the random relationships and encounters God is bringing in my life.  I just hope he gives me conversations for all of them. haha, but seriously.
